Reports also mentioned that the official recently participated in research conducted by the Tobacco Monopoly Bureau of Hebei Province and listened to reports on the work situation. This incident comes one month after the former head of the National Tobacco Monopoly Bureau, Ling Chengxing, was expelled from the party.

As reported, the official was born in October 1964 and was responsible for various departments, including the Development Planning Department, the Financial Management and Supervision Department (Audit Office), the Office of Electronic Cigarette Supervisory Management Leadership Group, the Tobacco Economic Information Center, the China National Tobacco Leaf Corporation, the China National Tobacco Sales Company, and the Tobacco Commerce Logistics Co., Ltd.
Recent activity records indicate that the official participated in the research activities of Hebei Province Tobacco Monopoly Bureau (Company) on May 14th and visited some retail clients in Shijiazhuang City, also listening to a report from the Hebei Province Bureau (Company) on work conditions.
This incident occurred one month after Ling Chengxing, the former Director of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, was expelled from the party. Ling Chengxing was born in October 1957, stepped down as Director of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration in July 2018, and came under investigation in October 2023.
